Concern over the saturday Continental Market in Retford being held on the same day as the established Farmers Market.
A number of farmers has aired oncerns to me that the two events should not be held on the same day, it has been mentioned that items for sale at the continental market were generally quite expensive and shoppers budget was being spent here causing trade to be lost from the farmers market.
Surely the markets could be kept vibrant by spreading the two sectors over different saturdays in the month rather than the same day...
Does anyone have any thoughts..?
