James Helliwell read the matters arising from the last meeting. Siobhan and Pam had not received these via e-mail.
Feedback from last quarterly meeting on 14/01/05 was very positive. Overall the event met people’s expectations.

ACTION POINT - Peter to manage the website. Peter and James H to continue working on the website as a joint project.
Timing of Meetings
Steering Group Meetings:
Steering group to continue to meet at the Bay Tree, Retford at 8.30am. The venue was not sure of numbers required on Friday 11/3/05, so Pam has offered to book places. Anyone who will NOT be attending are to call Pam on 0870 240 8882 before 5pm on Wednesday before the usual Friday morning meeting. Just pick what breakfast you want from the menu upon arrival, rather than have a set price breakfast.
ACTION POINT – anyone NOT attending are to call Pam on 0870 240 8882 by 5pm Wednesday 6/4/05.
Quarterly Meetings:
The quarterly meetings will continue to meet at Retford Town Hall to arrive at 7.30am for 7.45am – entrance fee will be £5.00 per person, which includes breakfast. There will be microphones available in these meetings. They will finish approx 9am.
ACTION POINT – Sue Nattrass has already booked the next meeting, and will post these details onto Business Link website and include them in e-news. Sue will also send these details to James P so he can include it in Streets magazine.
Next quarterly meeting is 15/7/05.

We spoke about getting Michelle Le Calvez to the next steering group meeting to see if we can invite someone from the Robin Hood Airport to speak about Recruitment at the quarterly meeting on 15/7/05. Next steering group meeting is Friday 8 April, 8.30am.
ACTION POINT - Sue to phone Michelle Le Calvez and ask her to call Siobhan regarding attending the next steering group meeting on 8/4/05.
Invitations for the next quarterly meeting will include tick boxes so that people can pre-order their breakfast. These invites will be put onto the website so that people can access the invitation in this way.
We also need to know the cost of the website - £22.00 in the kitty at present!

We have previously mentioned that a different member of the Steering group will take it in turns to chair these quarterly meetings. It has been agreed that Coleen will chair the one on 15/7/05.
We do not intend these meetings to be networking opportunities, but anyone wishing to bring marketing material are welcome to do so.

Sue mentioned the new Turbine Innoviation Centre which is due to open May 05 at Shireoaks Triangle. This is for new SME’s which fall under the innovation, high growth, hi-tech categories. They expect 50 new businesses to be based there in the next 2 years.

Sue also handed out the following:
1) Federation of Small Businesses are holding a New Busines, New Life seminar to include; Recruitment, Finance Planning, Health & Safety issues, Business Crime Prevention and Reduction, Commercial Insurance, Environmental issues incorporating BEST Network, Business Rates and Trading Standard Issues. This is on Tuesday 15/3/05 – 10am – 9am at the Renaissance Hotel, Junction 28 of the M1. To book- call 0800 027 7350.
2) Backing Business Women in Bassetlaw – free event at Ye Olde Belle, Barnby Moor, on Thursday 24 March 2005. 11.30am – 2pm – includes lunch.

James P mentioned that Streets, in conjunction with Bassetlaw Chamber of Commerce are holding a breakfast meeting regarding the 2005 Budget at Ye Olde Bell Hotel, Barnby Moor on Tuesday 22 March, 8am registration. A full English Breakfast is available FOC.
